The Houston School of Improv is proud to partner with the Good Friend Theater to produce shows with direct onboarding ramps for students to get stage time.
Maestro
This show sees 10 improvisers going head-to-head for audience laughs. Players are slowly, or sometimes quickly, eliminated until one player is left standing and crowned the champion.
HSI Graduates are eligible to perform in this regular show. Talk to your instructor to find out how to get involved.
Bigger Circles
This new show is part of our initiative to “build bigger circles, not higher walls”.
An experimental time for current students to meet new people, try new ideas, and even new show formats.
Part open mic, part jam, Bigger Circles is a great opportunity for low-pressure experience.
Just bring you HSI ID to any Bigger Circles event and show the host before the show, to be entered into the running.
