If you are just starting your improv journey with Houston School of Improv - START HERE. 

Auditions are not needed to join the Houston School of Improv, however most of the ongoing shows at The Good Friend Theater have auditions once or twice a year. 

While it often depends on the company/profession, many of the skills taught at HSI are transferable to other professions and we are happy to supply documentation for those looking to gain professional credit for particpating with us. 

Houston School of Improv is for students 18 years and older, however we do offer summer camps for kids as well as high school league program during the school year. 

If you are signed up for your first class, your instructor will reach out a few days prior to class with relevant information for your first day! 

All students must pay in full before the first class begins. 

If students have a conflict prior to a class starting, we will gladly transfer them to a new start date. If a student must transfer once a class has begun, we can provide options depending on where in the class the transfer happens. 

Students are able to miss up to two classes before they are dropped from that class. 

Good Friend Theater has regular auditions for our shows throughout the year. 

We honor credit from other institutions based on a varying degree of factors including improv experience, time since last classes were taken, & completion of other programs. Go here for more info.
