There's no script for life, so we must improvise as we go! You'll feel more comfortable with this after our classes, and you'll have fun while you learn. This introductory workshop emphasizes basic improvisational skills by exploring spontaneity, staying in the moment, risk-taking (getting out of your comfort zone), finding the story within the scene, developing characters, and other fun skills in a relaxed and supportive environment. Led by Director of Education and seasoned CSz professional Brendon Duran, the participants are led through a variety of games and workshops that work on and incorporate the skills that are used in improvisational comedy, including focus, concentration, teamwork, scene work, and trust. Vocal training necessary for performance and public speaking is also weaved into the class. You will learn to be fearless and have fun on stage! Laughter and positive vibes are guaranteed. Level One will end with a special class performance.

These classes are held at CSz Houston (2201 Preston St., Houston, TX 77003), for 8 consecutive weeks, on Saturdays, for two hours at a time. Cost for this eight-week course is $195. You must be 18 years of age or older.
